ENOUGH - For such a Time As This
What happened in April?
We are so thrilled that over 8000 people took part in our special ENOUGH prayer event on Maundy Thursday - it was amazing to join together with so many people across the nations, in what was truly a worldwide event! How the unity in prayer of many nations and languages must have delighted God’s heart!
We partnered with other Newfrontiers Spheres (ChristCentral, Commission, EdFri International) and the Lausanne Movement, who all contributed to leading us through the evening - it was great to have worship led from both the UK and the US, as well as being led into different sections of the evening from India and Kenya.
Prayer is designed for crisis
Whatever nation we are living in, it is impossible to escape from the current pandemic sweeping across the world - brothers and sisters, we are indeed in the middle of a crisis. We believe that, at a time when we can feel quite helpless at a human level, we MUST continue to press into God in prayer. This is why we are increasing the regularity of our ENOUGH prayer evenings as a direct response. ENOUGH - ‘For such a time as this’ calls people together for extra-ordinary prayer, to pray in visible union with one another, in explicit agreement as we call on God for the same things at the same time. The prayers of many really do matter.
“I remain convinced that when God’s people pray it unleashes the resources of heaven upon earth in ways simply nothing else can do”
- Mike Betts (quoted from his book ‘Prayers of Many’)

Get this date in your diary now as we gather together once more. We believe that prayer is an active, not passive, thing and requires us to keep going, persistently making requests of God, saying that we have had enough of the state of our nations. We do this knowing that He is ‘enough’ and the only one who can bring salvation, healing and restoration to the world. This is THE most important thing that we are giving ourselves to and we would urge you to do the same. Our prayers make a difference.
