5 reasons why Called To Go is for you
Called to Go provides the perfect environment to explore what it could look like to pioneer in a nation not your own. You’ll journey alongside others in a similar situation, getting prophetic input, practical teaching and space to develop even the smallest nudges. But if you still need convincing, here’s five more reasons why you are perfect for Called to Go.
Reason #1
Even if it’s just one word - like ‘Switzerland’ - there’s a place/people group on your mind.
It doesn’t need to be anything more, because Called to Go is about coming alongside you to help your ‘mustard seed’ grow into something bigger.
Now an angel of the Lord said to Philip, “Go south to the road—the desert road—that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.” (Acts 8:26)
Reason #2
You’re in a season of life where you have more freedom to travel.
Maybe you’re retired, or have a mobile vocation or skills, are in-between commitments - whether short-term or long-term, Called to Go gives you guidance and space to explore how to use that freedom.
Those who had been scattered preached the word wherever they went. (Acts 8:4)
Reason #3
You have an affiliation with another nation, culture or language.
If you have a multicultural background, or speak another language, or easily connect with people different to you, they’re signs worth exploring - don’t quickly dismiss them as just coincidences! You’ll find time and space to see how they might speak into a future step with others in a similar situation.
Paul came to Derbe and then to Lystra, where a disciple named Timothy lived, whose mother was Jewish and a believer but whose father was a Greek. (Acts 16:1)
Reason #4
You want to support others who are pioneering.
You may have a friendship with those who have a call to go, and want to come alongside them in their journeys. Whether short-term or long-term, your support is vitally important.
Then Barnabas went to Tarsus to look for Saul, and when he found him, he brought him to Antioch. (Acts 11:25-26a)
Reason #5
You want to see the gospel reach the ends of the earth!
God’s vision of a glorious church is one made up of every “tribe, tongue and nation”. If that is your vision too then Called to Go can help you fill in the details and start preparing for what's next.
Jesus said, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” (Matthew 28:19)
