Ideas for your ID-ers
Are you supervising an ID intern this year and thinking ‘I could really use some tips and ideas on how to encourage them to deeper discipleship and effective evangelism’?
Are you considering hosting an IDer in the future but wondering what it really involves and how you can make it the best experience for them and your church?
This day is for you.
On Tuesday, 15 October we are hosting a day of teaching and equipping for those supervising ID interns.
We’re also opening it to any church who would like to have an ID student in the next few years. The aim of the day is to inspire and encourage those attending to pursue deep discipleship, both for their ID interns and for themselves. We’ll consider the various challenges that our culture poses to following Jesus, look afresh at the means of discipleship that Christ gives to his church, and consider how to make the most of the opportunity that the ID course is for discipling people.
The day will also feature some input from David Bareham of Community Church Chafford Hundred, who will get us thinking about how we can make evangelism a key part of the year for every ID intern.
The day will be hosted at City Church Cambridge, the same venue we run the ID training weeks, and will be structured like a typical day of ID teaching. We kick off at 10am and conclude by 4pm. Attendance costs £7.50 and for that delegates receive lunch and plenty of coffee, tea and goodies throughout the day. You can book in here. We hope you can join us!
