Do you have a heart for short term mission? Or a heart to help Church plants? Or maybe a heart for Scandinavia?! Well this autumn we'd love to invite you to consider coming and serving with Risen Light Church in Helsinki, Finland.

The Aim of the Team

Risen Light Church in Helsinki, Finland, are running a weekend conference and you can join a team helping to serve this event. The conference is all about signs and wonders and will be led by Grantley Watkins from Wymondham, UK. The event has been a huge success across Europe. We need people to join the team and serve this event in practical ways.

Venue

The event will be held at Pursimiehenkatu 26 C, 00150 Helsinki

 

Flights

We will try and coordinate things so that everyone is on the same flight. You are responsible for booking this yourself but we will advise you on the the routes that other teams members are using so you can fly with others where possible. The cost of the flights at the time of writing (13/9/19) was approximately £190.

Accommodation

You will also be responsible for booking your own accommodation. We will suggest some options and try to get the whole team in the same location if possible. There are various options available based on your budget. We will give you a better idea of accommodation costs once you have applied for the team.

Other costs

There will be a small charge to cover the costs at the event itself. This will be around €20 and this will include some food. However, not all your food during the weekend will be provided so you will need some money set aside for this. We will provide more details when you apply.

Serving opportunities

We are looking for people who are willing to serve in one or more of the following ways:

• childcare, so that parents can attend the event (this role will require you to have a current background check for working with children)

• basic sound or projection

• help in the kitchen

• serving coffees

• generally just roll up sleeves and help out with whatever

Elder Approval

To join the team we will need to have a quick chat to one of the Elders in your local church. There is nothing to worry about, we have your best interests at heart. We will just be checking that this team is the best way for you to get involved in the mission.
